Why is it so hard to keep $ over age 50?

I run into people all the time that bemoan the fact that they don't have enough savings for retirement. It seems like bad news all around.

I can't help anyone make more money through scams or quick fixes. However, there's a lot someone over 65 can do if they have any kind of life insurance policy that they don't need or want anymore -- they can sell it on the secondary market.
